LEADER project: Volunteer Incubator – Let's Listen to Older Adults
Short Description:
The project Volunteer Incubator – Let's Listen to Older Adults is aimed at strengthening the social inclusion of older adults and developing a modern model of home-based support through volunteer engagement. It includes the establishment of a volunteer incubator, training of informal caregivers, and raising public awareness of the needs of older people.
Objectives:
- Social activation of older adults and volunteers
- Development of a volunteer incubator
- Design of a modern home-based support model
- Training of informal caregivers
- Raising awareness among professional and general audiences
Results:
- 30 trained informal caregivers
- 50 included users and approximately 200 counselling sessions
- Structured training programs and implemented workshops
- A film about volunteering in a nursing home (DSO)
- An established volunteer incubator
- A developed modern model of home-based support
- A regional consultation event presenting the project results
- An intranet web application for volunteers
