The general objective of the project is to strengthen the development partnership that contributes to the diversification of activities on farms, increases the skills of farm members and innovation, strengthens intergenerational cooperation, increases value added on farms, strengthens the sustainability of the project, and maintains the connection of young people with land management.
Expected changes for individual target groups:
- Farms will study their potential and find solutions for implementing health care programs within their capacities and complementary activities on farms. They will implement the programs on a trial basis and then improve them. They will develop innovative programs that have not been implemented on the farm before, creating the conditions for greater value.
- The students of EC VG will be able to use the services of the partner KMG during and after the project and will acquire a) knowledge and skills about medicinal plants and various new therapeutic approaches, especially phytotherapy, ecotherapy and ergotherapy, and will thus be enabled to carry out practices that can improve or maintain mental and physical health, b) social skills for joint work and responsibility in the use of medicinal plants and c) will be involved in the implementation of services of innovative therapeutic approaches (phytotherapy, ecotherapy and ergotherapy ) as part of the project activities. In this way, the project will bring about a sustainable change.
- UNM FHS students will be able to carry out internships and other flexible forms of training at the partner KMGs and thus acquiring practical knowledge on innovatively oriented farms.
- Elderly people from nursing homes participating in the pilot project at KMGs will, during and after the project, a) acquire or refresh knowledge and skills about medicinal plants and various new therapeutic approaches, enabling them to apply practices that can improve or maintain mental and physical health, b) socialize with other target groups and strengthen their self-esteem, and c) alleviate various problems through the use of innovative therapeutic approaches.
- During and after the project, the disabled people from the care and work centers participating in the trial implementation at KMG will a) acquire knowledge and skills about medicinal plants and various new therapeutic approaches, which will also enable them to apply practices that can improve or maintain mental and physical health, b) connect with other target groups and strengthen their self-esteem, and c) alleviate various problems by using the services of innovative therapeutic approaches.
- Through media promotion, public events, and training, we will introduce the innovative pilot program to a broader interested public so that it can become a model for other KMGs, especially smaller farms.
